Medical gender affirmation (sometimes called “transition”) is a process that looks different for every individual. There is no right way to affirm one’s gender. There is no set path that an individual should or must take to affirm their gender. The path is unique, open-ended, flexible, and never set in stone. Medical gender affirmation is not reserved for trans* folks only; many non-binary, gender fluid, and other individuals choose to medically affirm their gender as well.
The below pages include basic information on hormones, surgery, and other medical affirmation options, including referral lists of providers.
The information on this site is not meant to replace individual medical consultation with your doctor. Please speak with your medical provider about any medical interventions you are interested in.
